Crisp & Refreshing, Practical Save-your-Sanity tips for this Fall!
Sep 26, 2024I learned long ago, that I’m only as good as the resources, helpers, hacks & amazing people I outsource my BUSY to.
You can TRUST that I’ve tried and use all these tips for this Fall and they work!
* Schedule your family photos for holiday cards! And then get online & pick your design, quotes, # of cards ahead of time, so you can order quickly! And buy stamps now.
* Auto ship you essentials!
Dog food? Furnace filters? Fridge filters? Face wash? That one thing you always forget @ the store? The craziness of school schedules, changing weather & the holidays will knock these important things down the list.
* Schedule an Action Hour for your odd tasks: Order your yearbooks. School pictures. Pay school fees, your local PTO, lunch accounts & activity fees. Need a luau shirt for a fundraiser? Do it then. PUT THIS HOUR IN YOUR CALENDAR. And do it with a friend! Knocking out several 2 minutes tasks @ once is a great dopamine boost!
* Cover your outdoor furniture.
Protect your investment. You can inexpensively buy covers online & in many colors.
* Check fire extinguishers. They do expire!
* Schedule your chimney sweep. This should absolutely be done every year if you have wood-burning fireplaces.
* Service your furnace! Most HVAC companies have an inexpensive maintenence plan that keeps you on a schedule.
* Equip your vehicle/s for colder weather (ice scraper, tire inflator, car charger, winter jacket)
* Put a GOOD pair of tweezers in your car. You know why.
* Bday Party hack. Back to school schedule & upcoming holidays means parties! Buy a handful of gift cards (shop the grocery card mall if that is easier) in $10 increments. Have a stash of bday cards, bags & tissue paper. Five Below, Homegoods, the Dollar Store & Target have tons of inexpensive party prep supplies. Last minute invite? Gift is set. Need to drop by a pick me up? You're ready. And the smaller increments let you be flexible on $ given & offers a variety of choices. It will also keep you from last-minute procrastination overspending.
